We were very lucky to have Dr Gordon as our consultant. We had been trying for a baby for over 3 years when we came to see her and things had not gone well for us with another clinic. Even at our first consultation, Dr Gordon saw the results of tests taken at our previous clinic and diagnosed both of us with conditions that they had missed. This was just one of several instances where Dr Gordon’s care and precision made a difference that led to the successful conception and birth of our treasured son on our second cycle of ICSI/IVF under her supervision. We are now back under her care again as we are hoping for a second child.
We are extremely grateful to Mrs Gordon for the professional advice, support and kindness that she showed us all the way through our journey to the birth of our gorgeous son. I feel Mrs Gordon really understood what it was like to be on the other side, as a patient; she clearly listened to us and was so kind and supportive. Her expert advice allowed us to make the right choices for us, this ultimately meant treatment abroad with her support here in the UK. With her guidance I believe we were able to avoid a potentially long journey in the wrong direction which was crucial given that time was running out for us.
I was a patient of Mrs Uma Gordon and saw her at the Spire Hospital Bristol, during 2013. We were having difficulty conceiving, and, as my husband and I are in our early forties, wanted to have some tests to see if there was a problem. Mrs Gordon saw us very promptly, and spent a great deal of time talking to us, ascertaining our goals, treatment options, and any relevant medical issues. She was very thorough and professional, whilst also kind, considerate and patient. She arranged for us both to undergo a number of tests. Mrs Gordon explained the nature of the tests and the results, clearly, so that we were both fully aware of their nature and implications. She discussed all the treatment options with us, and made us fully aware of the implications of all the options available.
After two early miscarriages, we are expecting a baby in July!
I really cannot recommend Mrs Gordon highly enough. She is extremely thorough and professional, as well as kind and considerate. We were going through a difficult time, and she helped us through.”
We were relieved to find Dr Uma Gordon to handle our fertility investigations. In spite of living in Bristol, we commenced treatment in London thinking that this would give us the best chance. We could not have been more wrong. After feeling overwhelmed by initial consultations in London by, what appeared to be a blanket approach to heading straight to IVF, we had a recommendation to see Uma Gordon.
It was a real turning point for us.Uma’s sensitive and considered approach to fertility investigations was immediately more specific and felt tailored to our particular needs. Dr Gordon did not waste time during our consultations discussing the ins and out of IVF but rather worked on eliminating factors one by one which could be responsible for the specific issues we were facing.
Dr Gordon’s positivity throughout was remarkable. She manages to understand you as a couple and tailors her approach to accommodate you as individuals.
Dr Gordon only requests tests that are really necessary and appreciates the costs involved. Having started treatment in London where we felt everything involved yet another test at serious expense, we were relieved to feel like we were finally making progress under Dr Gordon!
We were delighted to conceive quickly under her care and now have a little girl. I will not hesitate to see Dr Gordon again for future consultations regarding my fertility.
We will always be grateful for what Uma has done for us. She is exceptionally modest, kind and easy to deal with but above all, she is an expert in the field of Infertility Medicine.
We have found really beneficial to be under the private supervision of Mrs. Gordon during our last treatment cycle at the Spire Hospital in Bristol.
It really helps to have her closer supervision and the support of her nurse’s team. Thanks to it, for example, I have found less stressful to have the injections this time, as Tricia has helped me to overcome all my fears and lack of technique.
Also, during our visits to the Spire, we were completely forgetting that we were in a hospital. I guess this is because you are always meeting the same team in a private hospital environment and you are never waiting for long in the hospital waiting room.
After ten years of marriage and with no babies in sight, we finally looked to alternative paths for achieving a family. We explored adoption but that quickly proved to be a course that we did not wish to follow. We approached our local GP who advised us to see a fertility specialist and we met Dr Gordon in January 2010. Dr Gordon is a wonderful lady and she alone gave us the hope and confidence to try IVF. We embarked on the journey and after three rounds of treatment our beautiful baby girl Gemma Sophia was born. We are and always will be eternally grateful to Dr Gordon for her guidance and total confidence that we would be successful in the end.
Today we are 35 weeks pregnant & absolutely delighted and amazed. Few days have passed when I haven’t thought about the attention & kindness we received from Mrs Gordon & Gill. It was invaluable the comfort & reassurance when nobody else would have understood.
Mrs Gordon’s knowledge expertise and encouragement was above doctors we had seen elsewhere, and provided me with a great feeling of being looked after.
We are truly grateful – thank you
After 3 failed ICSI cycles the chance of us conceiving with my own eggs were slim. Mrs Gordon’s satellite treatment at the Spire took us through every possibility & variation in treatment and most importantly Mrs Gordon listened and understood our thoughts and concerns.
We are now expecting our first child using my own eggs thanks to Mrs Gordon and her team. Opting for satellite treatment with Mrs Gordon was the best decision we ever made
Words will never be able to describe the gratitude we have for all your help and support, our baby boy was born in May 2015 he is a very happy little boy and has already brought us much love and happiness.
With your support the ICSI cycle was a calm process and not as daunting as we first had imagined.
Thank you for everything you have done to make this little miracle a reality.
I highly recommend you and your wonderful team.
Thank you so much for your help and support in helping us create our perfect family! We now have a healthy baby boy & girl. We just wanted youto know we so appreciate your time and support and will always remember you very fondly as the lady who gave us our family
Thank you for all of your excellent care in helping us, we will always remember the help as “our son” grows and enjoys his future. It is really hard to put words together but we really are so hugely grateful.
We saw Miss Gordon when we had been trying to conceive for 10 months. We found from our first appointment that she managed to maintain a balance of a kind, empathetic and caring approach, whilst also providing a thorough and systematic clinical evaluation of our subfertility. We felt fully aware all of our options for investigation and treatment, and we felt fully involved in any decisions that were made. She recognised our anxieties and concerns about conceiving, and addressed each of them in turn, whilst also being reassuring and positive about our chances for the future. Most importantly she made us feel that our subfertility mattered to her, and that she wanted to do everything she could to help us. Fortunately we conceived without starting IVF, however I felt that if this was a journey we were going to start upon, I would not have wanted any other Consultant than Miss Gordon to look after us
We have never met such a caring consultant. We have complete faith and trust in Mrs Gordon. She is extremely professional and always talks us through clearly and calmly the options available to us. Not only is Mrs Gordon an excellent physician – she also takes the time – showing empathy at every stage of our treatments. We could not have asked for more. Thank you for all you’ve done.
Undergoing IVF is always going to be tough no matter how good your consultant. However with Mrs Gordon we always felt that we were in incredibly safe hands and that she truly had our best interests at heart. Her team supported us through every process with kindness and compassion. We are now delighted to be expecting our first child and will be back to see Mrs Gordon when we want to add to our family. Thank you!
Thank you so much for all your help and support in getting us our little miracle
If someone had told me that practically a year ago to the day of my first consultation with Mrs Gordon that I would have my beautiful baby boy I would not have believed it, but it came true and at the age of 43 I have my gorgeous son. I can not thank Mrs Gordon and the team enough for making my dream come true of becoming a mum. Mrs Gordon treated us not only with honesty and professionalism but also with kindness to put us at ease to really trust her judgement and treatment plan to have our baby. I have been and will continue to highly recommend Mrs Gordon to others I have met wanting to start a family
Uma Gordon, Gill and the whole team have treated us with honesty, compassion and kindness throughout our ICSI journey. We will never be able to thank them enough for helping us to conceive our miracle baby. The IVF process seemed quite daunting, but throughout each step we felt thoroughly supported. We highly recommend Uma & her team to anyone thinking of embarking on this journey
Thank you for caring the whole of our journey we have felt supported and in the best hands
With many thanks to Uma for her sensitive, thorough and gentle approach. We have felt so supported in what had been an anxious time. We are now happily expecting and will be keeping Uma updated!
Dr Gordon was instrumental in my successful journey and would not hesitate to recommend her. Clinical practice, care and administration all excellent!
Having done two treatment cycles before elsewhere we knew what to expect as we had been “through the process” before. What I did not expect was Dr Gordon’s team take an approach that is not just “a process” at all!
We experienced a very individualised and personalised management from the whole team. We were made to feel listened to, understood and fully supported throughout the whole process. Thanks to each of you , you took out all the frustration and stress that we battled with in our previous cycle and that meant so very much
We both want to say thank you to you and your team for your help to become pregnant. We know everyday how lucky we are and we are so grateful, we really appreciate your knowledge, experience, understanding, time and patience to be able to apply the evidence and science with such compassionate and personalised approach, it so admirable
Thank you so much for everything you did to get us the most wonderful gift
